A streamer friend of mine, SuperPretzelPunch, reached out to me this fall to see if I would make a quilt for his wife (also named Meg because she’s awesome). I’d purposely resisted commissions to this point, but as he began describing his vision for this quilt, and I explained my limitations, I began to get on board. The end result, I believe, is stunning.

The combination of the tarot and phrenology fabrics from JoAnn’s with the crystals, galaxy, geodes, and purple glitter is just so fun!

I quilted it in vertical lines with purple thread and I’m obsessed.
This pattern, Fat Quarter Fancy II by SewCanShe was a little tedious, but the end result is so clearly worth it. PLUS each block made a bonus half square triangle block that I used in another project. You’ll see it soon!
I was so excited to send this off to its new home! My first commission experience was great. I’d consider it again. In the future. Maybe. If the right project came along. We’ll see!
